He Can

"Pray Continuously"
- 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Happy April! This is definitely my favorite month of the year! Not that i'm biased or anything because my birthday is this month but I feel as though spring is such a wonderful time with beautiful flowers, bright sunny days and a time of renewal

Yesterday was Easter! The celebration of Jesus' resurrection and his victory over death! Because Jesus rose from the dead, we are no longer bound to death by sin and are free! Free from the penalty of sin, free from death, free to have a relationship and spend forever in Heaven with our savior! He is Risen, He is Risen indeed! :)

I have been reading through Beth Moore's study on the life of Paul and it has been incredible how much the Lord has been teaching me through how He worked through the life of one of the most incredible men in the Bible. Through out the book of Acts, God consistently proves and shows Paul that He keeps his promises, no matter what may be going on in the surroundings.

The Lord, very recently, opened a new door and set me on a new path. With this new direction came new excitements but also, recently, new struggles. The evil one is out to "kill, steal and destroy" (John 10:10)  He is also very determined and after those who are deemed a threat... i.e. those who are sold out and following the Lord. When the Lord gives us a calling or a promise, we know that He is going to do amazing things. He is going to impact the world and the Evil one will do anything to slow that down. When you have Christ in your heart, Satan can't touch you, but he can mess up things around you to try and distract you and diminish your faith. Unlike humans, God never goes back on his promises. Its so hard to comprehend that sometimes, especially when all circumstances seem to look upside down and far from working.

A lot of times people will talk about the roller coaster of life. I don't necessarily think that God specifically plans our lives to be a roller coaster of highs and lows, of happy times and sad times just for the sake of it, Yet that our lives go through theses cycles because of the constant battle between good and evil, between God and His plan for us and satan and his plan to mess God's plan up. It is so easy to glorify God and "see" his goodness when things are going great! Its when things are upside down and twisted that our faith is truly tested and God's glory shines through even brighter.

So take heart and be encouraged. God always keeps his promises. He may build you up in the beginning to build up your faith and confirm his promise because He knows that your faith will be tested some where down the road. God will always fulfill his promises to us... maybe just in a different way we imagined.

God always tends to allow things to seemingly become impossible, only so HE CAN make it possible.

Its a struggle to be patient and have our faith tested, but like that simple verse says at the top,
"Pray Continuously"
and you will stay strong and stable in the Lord.
